When I retired from the U.S. Army as an E‑6 Staff Sergeant, I carried with me the responsibility that comes with leading soldiers and looking after the men and women under my charge. Those years shaped me in ways that never leave you — the leadership, the weight of responsibility, and the understanding of the unseen burdens so many veterans and first responders continue to carry long after the uniform comes off.

In 2023, Willowdale Ranch was born from a simple conviction: that healing happens when people are given space, purpose, and the peace of God’s creation. Nestled in Southern Oregon, Willowdale is becoming a sanctuary — a place where veterans, first responders, and community members can reconnect with themselves, with others, and with the land. Through shared work, outdoor experiences, and genuine fellowship, we’re building something that restores lives in ways that are real and lasting.
